This jacket has the water repellent impregnation BIONIC-FINISH® ECO. In the vast majority of water-repellent impregnations on the market today, the use of fluorocarbons is a rule rather than an exception. Fluorocarbons decompose very slowly in nature, spread easily and exist today worldwide. They inhibit reproductive performance and are also suspected of causing cancer. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO is made in an alternative technology and is completely free of fluorocarbons, formaldehyde and paraffin.
The recycled materials used in the manufacture of this jacket are GRS certified, which ensures that the materials consist of recycled items, such as PET bottles, discarded fishing nets and old clothes. GRS is the most stringent certification for recycled materials on the market today and includes strict controls on primarily chemical handling, but also on working conditions.
